The first wireless network I set up was using 2 x Linksys USB wireless adapters. I connected the first adapter to my desktop PC running Windows XP Pro and the second to my laptop running Windows 2000 Pro. Setup was easy on the laptop as there is a monitor application which helps you to configure your connection. The setup in Windows XP was more difficult due to that PC also having internet connection sharing installed, allowing the laptop to connect to the internet using my broadband connection. |
